# Multi-entity financial consolidation, automatic from the ERP

> Consolidate entities with different ERPs, charts and currencies. Intercompany stays out of the group total and adjustments stay visible. From the ERP.

Fibady consolidates the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow of every entity in your group, even if they run different ERPs, charts of accounts and currencies. You connect each entity once, map its accounts to the group chart, define your consolidation groups and the consolidation recalculates on every sync. No linking spreadsheets, no copy-paste, no versions.

## How are entities with different charts of accounts consolidated?

Each entity keeps its books exactly as they are in its ERP. In Fibady you map its accounts to a common group chart — once, in 1 to 4 hours per entity — and from then on every new entry lands on the right consolidated line. You can have [Odoo](/integrations/odoo) in Spain, [Holded](/integrations/holded) in a subsidiary and, in Argentina, a [Tango](/integrations/tango) connected via API, all in the same view.

## What about currencies and FX rates?

Fibady keeps the currency of each company and each bank, and tracks three currencies with separate labels: each company's accounting currency, the group's reporting currency and the display currency you pick in the top bar without altering any data. Your company defines FX rates by currency and month in a grid, in bulk or pasted from the clipboard, so in countries with several exchange rates you use your own. Switch currency and the reports recalculate: you see the same group in euros and dollars with one click.

## How does Fibady handle intercompany in the consolidation?

Fibady keeps intercompany out of the group total: in each company's account tree you flag which accounts are intercompany (with semantic roles), or tag specific entries as intercompany, and those amounts do not add up in the consolidation. What does not tie does not vanish: it stays visible on a "Consolidation adjustments" line, and every figure opens to the per-company view and down to the original entry. ## How Fibady does it

- 2 to 60 entities in one group, with consolidation groups and sub-groups
- Group chart of accounts with unlimited levels; the P&L opens as deep as you want
- Three currencies (accounting, reporting, display); FX by month and currency; switch currency and everything recalculates
- Intercompany out of the total, via intercompany accounts or tagged entries; visible "Consolidation adjustments" line
- [Control Center](/product/financial-reporting): every month it checks debits = credits, that assets equal liabilities plus equity, that no accounts are left unclassified and cash flow against book cash, with the tolerance you set and a green, amber or red traffic light
- Consolidation available minutes after every sync

## A real example

A Spanish logistics group with 13 entities consolidated in Excel every month. Today the CFO opens Fibady and the consolidation is already there; the CEOs and COOs of each company log in and see their own. The committee conversation moved from "is this the right number?" to "what do we do about this number?". If you still close in spreadsheets, see the comparison [Fibady vs Excel](/compare/fibady-vs-excel).

## Frequently asked questions

### Do all entities need the same ERP?

No. Each entity connects with its own system: Fibady connects to more than 25 ERPs, with a live API for Odoo, Holded, Tango, SOS Contador and EternumPRO, and if an ERP has no connector you export the journal to Excel and Fibady adapts it, or you use the API. The common chart of accounts lives in Fibady.

### How is intercompany handled?

You flag the accounts that are intercompany, or tag intercompany entries, and those amounts stay out of the group total. Every figure opens per company and down to the entry so you can check it.

### Does it work for groups with entities in different countries?

Yes. Each entity has its own currency, fiscal calendar and chart; the group consolidates in the currency you choose and, if you switch currency, the reports recalculate. Fibady is used today in Spain and several Latin American countries.

### How long does the first consolidation take?

The time to map each entity: 1 to 4 hours each. With Odoo or Holded, data loads immediately.
