The board deck is the periodic presentation the management team delivers to the board of directors or investors with the period's results, the cash position, the forecast and the decisions that require their approval.
What it includes
Executive summary, consolidated P&L against budget and prior period, cash flow and runway, business KPIs (ARPA, churn, contribution margin), updated forecast, risks and the decisions to vote on. The financial section takes 4 to 8 pages and must reconcile with the accounts.
Example with numbers
Financial page for a quarter: revenue 1,500,000 (+8% vs. budget), EBITDA −120,000 (budget −150,000), cash 2,400,000, net monthly burn 90,000, runway 27 months. Full-year forecast: revenue 6,300,000 against 6,000,000 budgeted. Decision: approve 3 hires brought forward from Q4 to Q3.
How Fibady does it
The board deck's financial tables come from Fibady's consolidation in the same format every quarter: unlimited-level P&L, direct cash flow from banks, runway and dynamic metrics linked to Google Sheets. The figures reconcile with the ERP because they are the same figures.
